DFW International Airport is expanding its global network with an exciting new nonstop route operated by Royal Jordanian Airlines to Amman, Jordan, marking a significant milestone in connectivity between North Texas and the Middle East.
Starting in May 2026, Royal Jordanian will launch four weekly nonstop flights from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Amman. This service will utilize a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner configured with 270 seats, including 24 business class and 246 economy seats.
This new route represents Royal Jordanian's longest service, covering more than 7,000 miles, which surpasses its current longest U.S. route to Chicago. It also marks the airline's fifth direct U.S. destination, joining existing routes to Chicago, Detroit, New York, Washington D.C., with additional planned routes to Los Angeles and Miami.
The flights are scheduled to optimize connections through Amman to more than 50 other Middle Eastern destinations as well as beyond, enhancing DFW's role as a critical international gateway.
Chris McLaughlin, CEO of DFW Airport, highlighted that welcoming Royal Jordanian is a strategic step to grow the airport’s global footprint and strengthen access to the Middle East. This new year-round service is a first for North Texas, providing seamless travel options to one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, rich in cultural and economic significance.
Royal Jordanian is a member of the Oneworld alliance, a partnership that includes several other airlines operating at DFW such as British Airways, Qatar Airways, and Japan Airlines, reinforcing network synergies for travelers. The new nonstop service aims to foster stronger business, tourism, and cultural ties between the regions, underscoring DFW's ambition to broaden its global long-haul offerings within the competitive aviation industry landscape.
Eastbound flights will depart DFW late at night and arrive in Amman the next evening, with westbound flights timed during the day to enable convenient connections back to DFW. This new route is expected to attract both business and leisure travelers seeking direct access between North Texas and the Levant region, expanding travel choices significantly.
In summary, the launch of Royal Jordanian’s route to Amman from DFW in May 2026 is a major addition to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport’s global network, providing the first nonstop connection from Texas to Jordan and strengthening ties between the U.S. and the Middle East with a modern, comfortable service.
